Car Buying Horror Stories

We're compiling a booklet of horror stories buyers have experienced when buying a new or used vehicle from dealers or private sellers. Our hope is that by compiling and sharing this information, we may be able to help buyers avoid such experiences. Even if one person is saved a lot of grief, then our efforts have been worthwhile.

Please note, this is not intended to be a dealer bashing opportunity or a venue to complain about pricing. We recognize that the latter may be an issue for some, however we would moreso appreciate the circumstances surrounding the pricing. This booklet serves to educate buyers and make them more aware of what to watch out for. Dealer or private seller names will NOT be published, nor will the names of those who submit their stories.

Dealers, we also welcome stories from you. In the industry, there are a lot of situations where bad vehicles are being traded in by unscrupulous individuals and you are left holding the bag. Sometimes, these vehicles end up making it back out to the marketplace and they shouldn't be. Help us educate the public by sharing your experiences as well.
