Buying Or Leasing A Vehicle?

Automall Network is a licensed dealer however we do not operate like a dealer. We work as an agent for the buyer. This means that we are not locked in to selling our own inventory and trying to maximize the profit on each sale. Instead, the whole world is our inventory.

Our goal is to make the whole process as easy as possible while getting you the best vehicle for the best price. With our program, you simply fill out the paperwork and pick up the car. Whether you are looking for new or used, purchase or lease, Automall Network can save you time, aggravation and money.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:Do you charge a fee for your buying service, and how much?
A:Yes, we charge a fee, however that fee is not an expense, it is an investment. You pay us a little and because we buy at a lower price than consumers can, the net result is that you see a large savings. Our fees are as follows:
  • New vehicles: $350
  • Used vehicles: $799 which includes an independent mechanical inspection by a licensed mechanic and a full VIN history report that covers liens, major accidents and owner history
Q:How does your Best Price Guarantee work?
A:We have two payment options. Most clients come to us because they don't have the time or the patience for the shopping and negotiating process. They are quite happy to pay a professional a flat fee to do what we do best and simply take care of it for them.

There are other first time clients who want assurance that the fee they pay to us will yield positive financial benefit to them, after all they don't know us and have never worked with us in the past. This is understandable because we have all been conditioned by the auto industry to buy vehicles a certain way. For these people, we recommend that they go and get their best price first. Instead of charging them a flat fee, we will split any additional savings we are able to help them achieve, which in most cases is quite substantial.

In either case, they get the same great price. The flat fee method is a lot less work on their part which is the real purpose behind our program, however the latter does provide the assurance they seek prior to making a commitment.

Q:Why do you charge the buyer instead of the dealer?
A:When brokers charge the dealer, their fee is added into the sale price by the dealer. If we are paid by the dealer, then we don't work for you, we work for the dealer and are not able to negotiate the best price we can on your behalf. When we first started, that is how dealers wanted to do business with us - they would offer to split the profit if we could bring them serious buyers. However, we felt that was a conflict of interest. We chose instead to charge our fees upfront and pass on every cent negotiated back to our customer.

Q:If I am paying your fees above and beyond the price of the vehicle, am I not going to end up paying more overall?
A:If both of us were paying the same price for the vehicle, then yes you would pay more. However, consumers pay retail, dealers pay wholesale, even if they are buying from other dealers. Therefore, by adding our fees to the price we pay, it still results in savings. For example, on a new vehicle if your best price is $25,000 and ours is $23,000, then you are saving an additional $2,000 at a cost of $350. You are ahead by $1650, that's a 471% return on investment. Many of our customers come to us just so they don't have to go through the car buying process. The savings are an added bonus.

Q:Why are you able to get a better price than I can get?
A:Many types of businesses have two departments, retail for those who buy one here and one there, and a wholesale department for those who buy more frequently. The car business is no exception. Plus we have a dealer's license which means we have relationships and privileges that the consumers cannot get.

Q:Where will my new vehicle come from?
A:We will negotiate a price with a dealer local to you. If you have a preferred dealer, we can work with them if they are competitive. Our first priority is to deal with a local dealer and keep your business in the community. If they are not competitive, we can also get an alternate competitive price and let you decide how to proceed. If we have to go a little distance away, then we can often arrange to have the vehicle delivered to you.

Q:I don't want to travel a great distance to have my vehicle serviced.
A:Not a problem, you won't have to. It can be serviced anywhere.

Q:Do I still get the warranty and any manufacturer incentives?
A:Absolutely. For new vehicles, we are a matchmaker. You will be buying from a franchised dealer and therefore get the full warranty and all incentives. For used vehicles, any remaining warranty still applies and we can also provide extended warranties if you wish.

Q:If I buy a used vehicle with your help, how do I know it won't be a lemon?
A:The question is, if you don't have our help how do you know it won't be a lemon? On every used vehicle, our price includes a comprehensive independent inspection by a licensed mechanic. Our price also includes a thorough review of the Vehicle History Reports to see if any red flags are raised of potential future problems. When you buy any used vehicles, even sometimes new vehicles, you could experience problems. However the extent of the upfront homework we do on behalf of our clients minimizes the chances.

Q:Aren't auction vehicles junk? I thought auction vehicles were those that nobody else would buy?
A:It's true that there are vehicles that go through auction that are not so nice, however there are also many that go through that are in great shape. When you buy a vehicle from a dealership, chances are they bought it from an auction. Dealers buy most of their inventory from an auction. The rest come from trade-ins. They simply clean them up to showroom condition and put them up for sale. Having said that, we have purchased many vehicles from auction that are in excellent shape and have needed no work to clean up. We will only send you information on vehicles that we believe are worth your consideration.

Q:Do I have to take care of getting the vehicle registered into my name or is that something you do?
A:We'll have it all arranged for you unless the vehicle you want is a private sale, in which case, you simply go to the licensing office. We can guide you through it.

Q:If I buy through auction, I'm concerned about buying the vehicle sight unseen?
A:We understand. Buying a vehicle sight unseen isn't for everyone. When a vehicle is sent to auction, selling dealers are bound by a code of conduct and disclosure that is arbitratable by the auction. In addition, the auction generates a condition report and takes pictures. If we felt that a vehicle was worth your consideration, we would send you the condition report and pictures. If you liked it, only then would we proceed further. However, if you are uncomfortable with buying sight unseen, then we can restrict our searches to local dealerships and private sales so you can see and test drive the vehicles.

Q:If I buy a vehicle through auction, how can I be assured that it isn't a lemon?
A:Before bidding, we order a Vehicle History Report. If everything checks out, then we bid. If we win, we have the vehicle inspected by the auction for mechanical and structural problems. If there are major problems, we can back out. If there are minor problems, we can simply have them fixed. Although nobody can ever guarantee a problem-free used vehicle long term, manufacturer and extended warranties do play a part. The important thing is that we do our homework when buying any used vehicle. This will minimize the chances of problems.

Q:What are the pros and cons of buying an auction vehicle through Automall Network?
A:The biggest advantage is the price, you will be paying the same price for the vehicle as any other dealer would. When other dealers buy vehicles, they add their markups based on what the market will bear. You also pay several other fees, sales commission, etc. With Automall Network, you pay us a flat fee for the service, there are no additional markups or hidden fees added to the vehicle. The biggest disadvantage of buying through auction is buying it sight unseen. This is an emotional barrier that some people have a hard time overcoming. However, we have been doing this for many years and know what to look for. That's why you're hiring us.

Q:What if we have already found a vehicle we like and would like you to simply negotiate the deal for us?
A:We can certainly do that. We'll be happy to see if we can save you some more money. And if not, then we won't charge you.
